Songwriters in the Round at Central Hall Commons

DOVER-FOXCROFT — On Saturday, Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. — with doors at 6:30 p.m. — Mathew Anderson, Seth Gallant, Sara Trunzo, and Troy Youngblood, four Maine songwriters, will be taking turns playing their original songs and sometimes telling stories about what inspired them. This special evening will take place at Central Hall Commons, 152 East Main Street,, hosted by Central Hall Commons and the Maine Highlands Council for the Arts.

Anderson works locally and leads the American Rock and Roll band, Thief of Joy. Gallant grew up in a mill town with a family that played music on the front porch on almost every occasion. These traditions of folk, country, and Acadian music would shape the music that Gallant writes and performs today. Trunzo is a songwriter, curator, and community organizer who currently lives in Waldo County. Youngblood and his Gypsy Soul Blues with gritty rustic vocals, a cosmic traveler who after a passing comet, dropped right out of the pink.

These four talented legends in the music scene will give a great night of music. Admission is $15 and can be paid at the door.

Refreshments and small plate food will be served. John Ritano of Two Knights Brewing Company of Sangerville will have craft beers, wine, pretzel bites, and pork sliders for sale.
