SeDoMoCha May Student in the Spotlight honorees

DOVER-FOXCROFT — SeDoMoCha Elementary and Middle School had its last combined Student and Staff in the Spotlight Assembly on June 4. Those present included staff and students from both schools, as well as many family members of those being recognized for the month of May.

Students in kindergarten through grade 6, including an elementary unified arts student, were recognized for their respectful behavior toward other students, staff, and the learning process. A grade 7 student was recognized for her persistence, a grade 8 student and a middle school unified arts student were recognized for their growth mindset.

Four staff members were recognized by the administration for modeling for students on a daily basis how being a continuous learner can enrich one’s life and help them be better prepared to meet students’ needs in an ever changing world.

Staff recognized were Beth Carter (elementary art teacher), Tera Guthrie (Title 1 literacy teacher), Ashley Goodine (kindergarten teacher), and Anthony Woods (tech support) with both Goodine and Woods tying for the top honor.
