FISHING TRIP — Piscataquis Community Elementary School fourth-graders had the opportunity to go on a fishing trip to Kiwanis Park in Dover-Foxcroft on May 23. The trip was organized by Hooked on Fishing, Not Drugs and sponsored by Friends of Community Fitness. A.E. Robinson donated the worms and Varney Ford donated new fishing poles for each child to take home. The day had over a dozen volunteers, including seven law enforcement agents in uniform. There were two groups of kids and they caught about 34 fish. The day started with a little rain, but the kids did not complain once. They had a wonderful time learning to fish and enjoying the outdoors in Maine!
