MILO — The Milo Events and Bicentennial Committees invite the public to join a day of fun and festivities at the annual Black Fly Festival on Saturday, June 1.
The parade will line up at 9:30 a.
MILO — The Milo Events and Bicentennial Committees invite the public to join a day of fun and festivities at the annual Black Fly Festival on Saturday, June 1.
The parade will line up at 9:30 a.m. by Maine Savings Federal Credit Union on Park Street and will proceed at 10 a.m. toward downtown, ending at the Penquis Valley School campus. No pre-registration needed, just show up and join.
The Penquis Valley High School juniors will be running the second annual Milo Mile along the parade route starting at 10 a.m. Race day registration and bib pick-up will take place at the starting line at 140 Park Street beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Dozens of vendors and crafters will be at the Veteran’s Memorial Park along the Sebec River from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Live music at the Veteran’s Memorial Park Gazebo by New Relm starts at noon and runs through 3 p.m.
An African cuisine dinner will be served at the Three Rivers Kiwanis Building at 5 p.m. with social time at 4:30 p.m.
