Dec. 27: The Piscataquis Community High School girls (5-2) defeated Foxcroft Academy 47-37 with three players tallying double figures.
    Alex Speed led the Pirates with 16 points; her sister, Erin, scored 12 including a pair of 3-pointers and center Delani Bennett racked up 13 points, eight rebounds and four assists.
    Grace Bickford scored a game-high 17 points and Madison Chadbourne scored 10 for Foxcroft Academy (1-6).
    The Pirates remain in first place in the Eastern Maine Class C point standings.
Dec. 27: The Dexter girls (6-2) overwhelmed Bangor Christian 44-19 with Christine May leading the Tigers with 12 points and Tasha Pratt adding 11.

    Kate Jones was high scorer for Bangor Christian (1-4) with seven points.
Dec. 27: The Piscataquis Community High School (6-1) boys defeated Dexter 58-45 as Nate Burns paced the Pirates with a game-high 21 points including 7-for-7 at the foul line. Ben Morrill and Jeremy Bell each contributed 10 points for PCHS.
    The high scorer for Dexter (3-4) was Bailey Spack with 18 points –including four 3-pointers – while Matt Bartlett added 15 points.
Dec. 27: The Machias girls (3-3) defeated Greenville 54-43 at Pritham Gymasium as Tate Dolley led the winners with 19 points and Angelana Lyons added 17 points.
    Greenville (1-6) was led by Courtney Mann’s 20 points and eight rebounds. Ashley Mace scored nine for the Lady Lakers.
Dec. 27: The Machias boys, paced by Logan Wood’s 24 points, defeated Greenville 64-41. Jacob Godfrey added 17 points for the 5-1 Bulldogs.
    Greenville’s top scorer was Nick Foley with 15 points – all on three-pointers. The Lakers fell to 3-4 on the season.
Dec. 29: The Old Town boys (7-0) beat Foxcroft Academy 71-36 as Eric Hoogterp paced the Coyotes with 21 points, five rebounds, four steals, four assists and four blocked shots. Mitchell Cole added 14 points for the winners.
    Foxcroft Academy’s top scorers were Sean Cody and Dylan Harmon-Weeks with nine points each. The Ponies are now 2-4.
