ANNUAL VETERANS DAY CEREMONY

Tisbury Manor Chapter DAR and American Legion Post 116 Towne-Holbon held the annual Veterans Day ceremony on Nov. 9 at the Monson Town Hall meeting room. Estella Bennett, Bill Lindie and Marion Lindie Brown gave the program to a standing-room only crowd on their ancestor Elmer Lindie, Maine’s most-decorated World War I veteran. After the program, the wreath-laying took place outside to the accompaniment of taps. Thanks go to all who attended to honor veterans.
