Town Clerk Kim Hughes presented the town council with a bound volume of Dexter municipal records from 1819-44 at last week’s meeting. The papers were in danger of disintegrating due to age, but the council approved funds for document restoration last year. The book was sent out to Kofile, a Vermont firm that specializes in preserving historic documents, and the bound volume is now available for the public to see. Also pictured is Council Chairman Fred Banks.
