‘The Genius of Marian’ at D-F Congregational Church

DOVER-FOXCROFT — On Saturday, Nov. 15, there will be a showing of “The Genius of Marian,” a widely-acclaimed film about one family’s experience of coping with Alzheimer’s disease.

The event will be held at the Dover-Foxcroft Congregational Church, starting at 1 p.m. The film is free to the public, and Bill Kirkpatrick of the Alzheimer’s Association will be facilitating a conversation about caring for individuals with dementia afterward. Caregivers are encouraged to attend and anyone is welcome.
This will also be an opportunity for family caregivers to speak with members of the Piscataquis Thriving in Place Collaborative about how the Collaborative can help to strengthen support for caregivers and their loved ones. The event is scheduled from 1–4 p.m. and refreshments will be served.
The event is sponsored by the Feel Good Piscataquis! campaign, a grant-funded initiative led by the Charlotte White Center, the Piscataquis Regional YMCA and the Maine Highland Senior Center project.
