Fourth annual whoopie pie sale for charity in Sebec

SEBEC — Jimmy Mike Mauzy is turning 80 and once again his birthday is being celebrated with a whoopie pie sale and yard sale at the historic Sebec Reading Room, 665 Sebec Village Road in the village of Sebec, on Saturday, Sept. 30.

There are more than a dozen varieties of whoopie pies from which to select, and 100 percent of the proceeds of the yard sale and whoopie pie sale will be donated to local charities including Dyer’s Hope House, the food pantry in Milo. Bring cash or write a check but think big as in a big donation because the person willing to spend the most money for whoopie pies will be gifted three dozen whoopie pies of their choice.

The sale starts at 8 a.m. and will continue until the whoopies are sold out or until 2 p.m. Remember: it’s not about how many whoopie pies you purchase; it’s all about how much money you are willing to pay for whoopie pies. This is a significant birthday as turning 80 is notable. Let’s honor Jimmy Mike and support local charities with generous donations.
