Will’s Shop ‘n Save helps Foxcroft Academy raise $1,200 for the school’s athletic program
DOVER-FOXCROFT — A hot dog fundraiser held at Will’s Shop ’n Save on Saturday, Oct. 18 raised $1,230 for Foxcroft Academy’s athletic program. Will Wedge, owner of Will’s Shop ’n Save, generously donated hot dogs, rolls, chips and drinks for the fundraiser and Pepsi donated soda cans. Coaches and players from FA’s cheering squad and fall sports teams helped run the event, and Wedge noted how impressed he and his staff were with their “commitment and professional behavior.”

COME AND GET IT! — Members of the Foxcroft boys soccer team and other fall athletes and coaches were busy on Oct. 18 with a hot dog fundraiser at Will’s Shop ‘n Save in Dover-Foxcroft. The event, with food items donated by Will’s, raised over $1,200 for Foxcroft Academy athletics.
The $1,230 was raised in just under six hours and represents a 23 percent increase over last year’s event, which was previously the most successful fundraiser held at Will’s. Since purchasing Shop ’n Save and moving to Dover-Foxcroft in 2011, Wedge has assisted Foxcroft Academy with sports boosters, project graduation and championship dinners — helping students raise more than $8000 in just three years.
“Will’s Shop ‘n Save values the students at Foxcroft Academy and enjoys being a friend of the Academy,” he said. “We will continue to support student-athletes and Project Graduation because it is the ‘right’ thing to do in our community.”
Head of School Arnold Shorey is grateful for Wedge’s support. “Will has done an incredible amount for our school,” he said. “He has done so not because he was asked but because he truly believes in this community and feels that it is his job to give back when and where he can. We are very lucky to have him here.”
