Author talk in Guilford

GUILFORD — The Guilford Memorial Library will host Maine author Shannon Bowring at 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 11. Come meet Bowring and enjoy the discussion. Her hometown of Ashland in Aroostook County serves as the inspiration for the setting of her debut novel, “The Road to Dalton”.

Her novel has been praised by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Richard Russo as: “The kind of book that too often flies under the literary radar these days: measured, wise, beautiful.”
