Information night for Scammon Ridge Project

GREENVILLE — A Scammon Ridge Project Information Night will be from 7-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 3 at the Moosehead Cultural Heritage Center. Join the Forest Society of Maine and Friends of Wilson Ponds to hear details about the conservation of nearly 3,000 forested  acres in Greenville.

Scammon Ridge is located between the Wilson Ponds, which is within the Penobscot River watershed, and Prong Pond,  which lies within the Kennebec River watershed. This permanent conservation project will maintain the pristine water quality of the streams, ponds, and lakes that are part of these watersheds and conserve important fish and wildlife habitat, and scenic and recreation value.

Please join us for refreshments and discussion.
