BJHS Alumni Association scholarship opportunities

The Brownville Junction High School Alumni Association has given out scholarships annually for the last 40 years. These scholarships are presented to children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step relations to members in good standing of the Association. Children of alumni from Penquis Valley High School who join the Association are also eligible to apply. In total, they have given more than $150,000 to assist young people with their college education.

The scholarship applications have been available through the TRCMaine website for many years but that site is no longer available to us. Each member of the alumni association received a newsletter recently and a copy of the application was included. If students need to access a copy of the application they should contact Susan Worcester, scholarship committee chair, at Susan.worcester@me.com or call her at 207-965-8070.

Deadline for accepting applications is July 31. Worcester can be contacted if there are questions about eligibility or the application.
