Three residents of Dover-Foxcroft took part in half-marathons in two different states on Sunday, Oct. 5.
Mariah Arno, 22, ran in the Maine Half-Marathon in Cumberland County. Arno covered the 13.1 miles in 1 hour, 55 minutes and 20 seconds, placing 550th out of a field of 1,976.
Mother and daughter Donna and Erica Peterson traveled to Hampton Beach, N.H. for the Smuttynose Rockfest Half-Marathon. The younger Peterson, 25, ran the race in a time of 2:32.44.0 to finish 3,414th out of 3,885 runners.
Donna Peterson, 55, was not too far behind in 3,434th place, in a time of 2:33.20.7.
