Fall Harvest Festival set for Sept. 27

   GUILFORD – The annual Fall Harvest Festival in Guilford is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 27 starting at noon.
   The Guilford Historical Society will offer free hayrides, grilled hot dogs and beverages for sale. The headquarters will be open to the public from 12-3 p.m. for a bake sale and craft items will be for sale.

TRACTOR TRAFFIC — A hayride travels by the Guilford Historical Society during a previous year’s Fall Harvest Festival. This year’s festival is set for Saturday, Sept. 27 with events throughout the day.

   Across the road, there will be live outdoor music featuring the Roy Hudson Band from 2-6 p.m. in the Braeburn lot next to the Red Maple Inn with an open restaurant and lounge, hosted by Martha Ward and Paul Zimmerman.
   At 7 p.m., there will be a guided cemetery tour at Elmwood Cemetery on Elm Street with hayride and luminaries.
Anyone who wishes to donate items for the bake sale or craft sale may call 217-0963.
   The society will also be open on Friday, Sept. 26 during the Piscataquis Community High School annual Homecoming Parade.
   The Guilford Historical Society has held an annual harvest fundraiser event since being established in 1983. Bring your family and friends to Guilford for an enjoyable festival.
