Deb’s Little Big Band at the Wayside Theatre

   DEXTER – Get “In the Mood” at the Wayside Theatre with Deb’s Little Big Band on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. Deb’s Little Big Band plays nostalgic music from the 30s, 40s and 50s, show tunes from Broadway and Hollywood and music from the Swing Era.

   Deb Maynard plays upright bass with her family in Zevulon, but her first love is jazz saxophone. She plays alto and tenor sax, doubling on flute and occasionally clarinet. Deb currently performs with the Foxcroft Academy Alumni and Student Jazz Band. She’s also a private instructor of flute, saxophone and clarinet and works in the music department at Foxcroft Academy.
   Terry Spearrin played guitar and electric bass in various local bands in the 70s and 80s. In 1990, he developed a love for bluegrass music and learned upright bass with the acoustic group Good Clean Fill. He has played bass in several successful local bluegrass bands including Chairback Gap and The Katahdin Valley Boys and currently plays with the Skyliners dance band.
   Brian Catell (keyboard/vocals) has played in bands for most of his life and was a music major at Hartt College of Music and is a UMaine graduate. Over the years, Catell has worked with Coloured Rain, Harvest, Stan Catell and Friends, Eastern Standard Trio, Bill Chinnock and performed with the Bangor Symphony Orchestra.
