Ridge View, SeDoMoCha X-C teams run at conference championships

CORINTH —  The cross country teams from the Ridge View Community School of Dexter and the SeDoMoCha Middle School of Dover-Foxcroft both competed in the 2022 Penobscot Valley Middle School Large School championships on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at Central High School.

The Ridge View boys compiled a score of362 points to place ninth among 10 full teams.

Pace Jarrett led the Tigers with his ninth-place performance, out of a field of 140 boys. Jarrett covered the 1.75-mile course in a time of 11 minutes, 44.63 seconds. Next for Ridge View was Ian Saunder, who came in 21st at 12:12.52.

The other three runners were Zeke Bullock, 96th at 16:19.63; Lukas Jiang, 112th at 17:44.55; and Jonathon Rock, 124th at 20:17.96.

Four SeDoMoCha runners competed, led by Hunter McKusick-Slama. He finished 22nd in a time of 12:14.15. Eric Deitz crossed the finish line soon after in 12:27.09 to earn 25th place honors.

Carter Straehle finished 105th at 17:09.04, and Matthew Baird was 115th at 18:25.28.

In the girls’ race, SeDoMoCha came in ninth among 10 schools in the team standings with 409 points.

Elizabeth Deitz led the Eagles with her 36th-place performance — among 125 runners — in a time of 15:16.65. Kaitlin Sauder was 83rd at 19:04.95.

The rest of the SeDoMoCha group was Gwen Atwater, 84th at 19:08.29; Hannah Healey, 102nd at 20:45.95; Prudence Bridge, 104th at 21:10.92; and Natalie Healy, 110th at 22:03.81.
