Free cider pressing event will be fun for the whole family

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District is partnering with the East Sangerville Grange again to bring you an afternoon of family fun at our upcoming cider pressing event! This event will be held at the Law Farm’s new outdoor educational classroom on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be packed with pressing fun and a delicious pot-luck lunch.

Whether you are a cider-pressing pro or you have never done it before, this event is sure to offer a good time for all. We will have a potluck lunch, so be sure to bring a potluck dish to share, apples, your own jars or containers, and be ready for an afternoon of pressing, fun and great company. If you don’t have apples of your own, don’t let that stop you from joining in! You can always purchase apples from local orchards and there will be limited apple picking available at the Law Farm. Be sure to check out our new educational apple orchard when you visit!

The PCSWCD is requesting that you register online at www.piscataquisswcd.org. We look forward to seeing you there!
