UMaine Cooperative Extension offering canning workshop
DOVER-FOXCROFT — University of Maine Cooperative Extension has announced that a canning workshop will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at the SeDoMoCha Middle School, 63 Harrison Avenue, beginning at 5:30 p.m. and ending at 8:30 p.m. Registration fees must be paid in full prior to the class.
In this course participants will learn the basics behind home food preservation and food safety. The course will consist of insight into how canning and freezing function as preservation methods. This is a hands-on workshop where attendees will be canning pickles.
