Swimmers with local ties win three events apiece at state meet

Caden and Elsa La Plante, members of Mid-Maine Dolphins at Alfond Youth Center in Waterville participated in a state swim meet in Bath earlier in the month. They both placed first in all three events. Elsa lowered her time by three seconds in the fly. Caden broke another state record and is still No. 2 in the nation for age 10 and younger.  Both have previously qualified for meets in Florida in April.

Caden and Elsa are the children of Deirdre and Ben La Plante of Fairfield. Grandparents are Mike and Susan McCormick of Dexter and Gail and Brian La Plante of Waterville. Great grandparents are George and Minnie McCormick of Dover-Foxcroft.
