Pair of Foxcroft Academy alumni earn top honors at Pony Pride 5K

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Following a year’s absence,  Foxcroft Academy graduates, community members and visitors to the region kicked off the Saturday of Foxcroft Academy Alumni Weekend by running in the 24th Pony Pride 5K. Now for the fifth time, on Aug. 7 the course started in front of the main school building, traveled across several streets in town as well as a trail before concluding with over a half a lap on the track to end at the finish line.

2018 Foxcroft Academy graduate Eli Olson won this year’s Pony Pride 5K, running a time of 20 minutes, 1 second for the top performance among a field of 35 entrants.

RETURN OF THE PONY PRIDE 5K — Thirty-five entrants galloped through Dover-Foxcroft during Foxcroft Academy’s 24th annual Pony Pride 5K on the morning of Aug. 7 during Alumni Weekend — the 2020 race was canceled. A pair of Foxcroft alumni earned top honors, 2018 graduate Eli Olson had the top overall time at 20:01 and 2010 graduate Sabrina Sharrow was the fastest women’s runner in 23:57.3.

Sabrina Sharrow, a 2010 graduate of Foxcroft Academy, ran a time of 23 minutes, 57.3 seconds to earn the 2021 Pony Pride women’s title.

WOMEN’S WINNER — 2010 Foxcroft Academy graduate Sabrina Sharrow was the top women’s runner in the the 24th Pony Pride 5K on Aug. 7. Sharrow covered the course in 23:57.3, placing seventh overall among a field of 35.

11-19: Marsters and Abrielle Kemp.

20-29: Olson and Sabrina Sharrow.

30-39:  Klemenz and Edwards.

40-49: Dan Sharrow and Megan Kemp.
