    On May 3 Michael Niles, 13 of Charleston, finished 19th out of a field 201 in the Erin’s Run 5K in Bangor. Niles ran a time of 24 minutes, 2 seconds.
    Also taking part in the Erin’s Run was Judy Snow, 59 of Dover-Foxcroft, 30th at 26:21; Angela Grindal, 38 of Sangerville, 170th at 48:57; Heidi Niles, 47, of Charleston, 188th at 53:29; Mary Ann Jelley 32, of Charleston, 189th at 53:30; Rick Jelley, 35 of Charleston, 190th at 54:38; Tony Chambrello, 46 of Milo, 199th at 1:05,00; and Kathryn Grant, 46 of Milo, 200th at 1:05.00.

    Also on May 3 three from the area ran in the 12th annual FinishLynx 10K in Orrington. Placing 22nd out of 79 was Chris Almy, 65 of Charleston, in 45:53. Twenty-eighth was Dan Kusnierz, 46 of Garland, in 47:39 and 57th was David Stanhope, 50 of Exeter, in 59:37.
