TCTC inducts students into National Technical Honor Society

    DEXTER — Tri-County Technical Center held its induction ceremony for students becoming members of the National Technical Honor Society on March 27. 
    This national career/technical student organization encourages higher scholastic achievement, cultivates a desire for personal excellence, and helps top students find success in today’s highly competitive workplace.  Students were selected for membership based on their scholastic achievement, skill development, leadership, honesty, responsibility and good character.

    Seven new members were inducted into the local chapter. They are Logan Bagley, a junior at Dexter Regional High School; Kayla Braley, a senior at Nokomis Regional High School in Newport; Alexandria Newhall, a senior at Nokomis; Kelsie Richards, a senior at Nokomis; Kylie Richards, a senior at Nokomis; Rachel Venable, a home-schooled senior from Penquis Valley High School; and Haleigh White, a home- schooled senior from Piscataquis Community Secondary School.
    Assisting in the candlelighting ceremony was a member who was inducted last year:  Patrick Haislet, a home-schooled senior from Penquis Valley.
