Reed finishes second at conference high jump championship

Foxcroft Academy junior Jacob Reed came in second at the 2021 PVC-EMITL boys high jump championship on Feb. 26 at the Center Street Gym in Brewer.

Reed cleared the bar at a top height of 5 feet, 10 inches to place second among a field of 15 qualifiers in the event. The top three places were decided on jumps as high jump winner Ellsworth High School senior Henry Scheff and third-place finisher Bucksport High School junior Nathan Paulauskas each attained a height of 5-10 in fewer and more chances than Reed respectively.

On Feb. 25 Foxcroft sophomore Aaden Lane took part in the PVC-EMITL boys shot put championship at the Center Street Gym. Lane had a top throw of 33-01 to finish 12th among 16 participants.

No team scores have been kept at meets in the 2021 indoor track season.
