‘The Healthcare Movie’

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The public is invited to a free screening of the award-winning documentary “The Healthcare Movie” at the Center Theatre on Saturday, April 5 from 4-6 p.m. It is presented by Maine AllCare, a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to bring quality affordable health care to everyone in Maine. The movie tells the story of how the U.S. and Canadian health systems developed so differently. Canada has a national Medicare that covers everyone.

There will be a moderated discussion and Q&A session following the one hour film. A panel of health care policy experts, including Maine AllCare President Julie Pease, MD and Phil Caper, MD will be on hand to answer questions such as, “What lessons can Maine learn from our neighbors to the north?” and “Can we really provide comprehensive health care for everyone in Maine for less than what we pay today?”
For more information please call the Center Theatre at 564-8943, visit www.maineallcare.org or write to jlendvai@maineallcare.org.
