The SAD 46 Board of Directors honored Barbara Wakefield at their March 5 meeting in recognition of her 13 years of service representing the town of Ripley on the board.

She was presented with a plaque by board chairman Steven Crane, left, and Superintendent Kevin Jordan. Wakefield stepped down this year, but the town of Ripley failed to find a candidate to replace her at last week’s annual town meeting.
