‘Drive-Thru’ confessions Saturdays in Greenville

GREENVILLE — From additional livestreams of private Masses to “drive-thru” confessions, many Maine priests and parishes have announced special opportunities for parishioners to connect as the COVID-19 pandemic disrupts normal Mass and parish schedules.

Fr. Aaron Damboise, pastor of St. Anthony Parish, will offer the sacrament of reconciliation outside of Holy Family Church, located on 145 Pritham Avenue in Greenville, on Saturdays at 3 p.m. and outside of St. Anthony of Padua Church, located on 370 Main Street in Jackman, on Sundays at 10:30 a.m.

As additional drive-thru or outdoor confessions are scheduled at parishes, they will be added to the list at portlanddiocese.org/content/response-coronavirus.

Fr. Damboise will celebrate Masses on Mondays and Tuesdays at 9 a.m.; Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 8 a.m.; Saturdays at 8 a.m. and Sundays at noon. You can participate in the Masses by visiting Fr. Damboise’s Facebook page at facebook.com/aaron.damboise.50.

It is important that we unite in supporting our parishes as best we can so that they can continue to serve the faithful throughout this crisis and long after it’s over. Parishioners can continue to support their local parish through the WeShare online giving option. Parishioners can find a direct link to their parish account at portlanddiocese.org/OnlineGiving.
