New Americorps volunteer coordinator at Center Theatre

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Center Theatre announced that Gretchen Huettner has joined the Center Theatre staff through the Americorps Vista program. Through a partnership with Goodwill of Northern New England, Huettner will be the Center Theatre’s volunteer coordinator. In this position, she will be responsible for the Center Theatre’s volunteer recruitment, training and retention.

The Center Theatre has worked with Goodwill of Northern New England and the Americorps program for several years. This is the third year having an Americorps Member on staff and last year the Theatre also hosted three Americorps summer associates who supported the summer drama camp program.

“I’m excited to be supporting the Center Theatre’s programming,” said Huettner, “I have plans for outreach to area schools, families and summer visitors to encourage them to be volunteers at the Theatre. When you volunteer, you’re not just supporting a great organization, but it is also fun for individuals and a great family activity.”
