Broomball tournament aims to sweep away cancer

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Foxcroft Academy Key Club and American Cancer Society are partnering to invite you to “sweep away cancer” at a broomball tournament being held at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26th at the Piscataquis County Ice Arena in Dover-Foxcroft (thepcia.com).

This fun, fast-paced sport takes gliding on the ice up a notch. Move around the ice surface using your own boots or shoes (no ice grippers) while wearing the certified helmet of your choice (bicycle, skateboard, snowboard, ski, hockey, etc). We’ve got the sticks; you bring the energy! Each team of five players will have the opportunity to participate in this fun tournament to help sweep away cancer.
