Four Ponies run at Red Riot Challenge

ORONO — In the last competition before Saturday’s Penobscot Valley Conference championships in Searsport, four members of the Foxcroft Academy cross country team ran in three separate races at the Red Riot Challenge on Oct. 12 at Orono High School. Each race covered 2.48 miles.

In the varsity girls competition, Foxcroft junior Kaylee Durgin finished in 22 minutes, 47.42 seconds to place 37th among a field of 52.

Pony sophomore Makayla Landry was seventh of 12 junior varsity competitors with her time of 22:59.95.

Among boys’ JV runners, Foxcroft sophomore Aiden Currie was eighth among 20 entrants in a time of 19:09.28. Freshman Joseph Nelson was 16th at 22:41.86.
