Open Creamery Day at Widdershins

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Many creameries around Maine will open doors Sunday, Oct. 13 for tours and cheese tastings among other activities. Each creamery will offer something a little different.

One of the local participating creameries is Widdershins, LLC at 843 Bear Hill Road. They will be open with tours and product tastings from noon until 2 p.m.

Widdershins is a small creamery selling raw cow and goat milk as well as soft goat cheeses and cow milk yogurts and mozzarella cheese at their onsite farm store and at several Dover-Foxcroft stores. They also sell grass-fed beef, pastured pork and lamb by freezer sides and generally have frozen retail cuts for sale in the winter. For more information contact widdershins@myfairpoint.net or 564-7926 or go to https://www.loc8nearme.com/maine/dover-foxcroft/widdershins/5382036/.

The event is sponsored by The Maine Cheese Guild, a non-profit organization with a mission to support and encourage the Maine cheesemaking community. A map and full listing of events can be found at https://mainecheeseguild.org.
