Cooking Matters teen challenge scheduled

DEXTER — The Ridge View Community School needs help in determining a winner for the Cooking Matters teen class, a nutrition and education program. Students are learning ways to cook and eat healthy and we need you to be the judge of their recipe improvements.

Please join participants on Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 4-4:30 p.m. in the Ridge View Community School lobby to help judge the food challenge. Groups will be judged on their creative and healthy dishes.  Please RSVP to Hilary London at 564-4159.
Cooking Matters Maine is a partnership between Share Our Strength and the Good Shepherd Food Bank. Cooking Matters is made possible through Maine SNAP-Ed. Maine SNAP-Ed is funded by the USDA’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, which is administered by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and implemented through a contract with the University of New England (UNE) and Piscataquis Public Health Council, a Healthy Maine Partnership.
