Fall brings new programs and fundraisers to PRYMCA

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Fall is just around the corner and the Piscataquis Regional YMCA is excited to announce a refreshed fall schedule, including new fitness classes, personal training, health and safety programs and the 2019 Sportsman’s Raffle.

Members of the community are encouraged to buy a raffle ticket for the 2019 Sportsman’s Raffle to benefit the PRYMCA. The 31-day Sportsman’s Raffle boasts two prize drawings everyday in October. Ticket-holders will have a chance in all 62 prize drawings, which include many wonderful prizes such as a brand new ATV, stand up paddle board and $5,000 cash prizes. All raffle proceeds support essential community programs at the PRYMCA. We rely on the support of our community to continue to offer important programs including childcare, swim lessons, family programs, health and safety programs and fitness programs.

With dozens of free classes for members every week, there is something for everyone at the PRYMCA. Come in today to try one of our many new classes including PiYo; a unique low impact, high intensity workout that combines elements of Pilates and yoga. In addition to health and wellness classes, community education programs are scheduled in the fall including hunter safety, first aid and CPR, lifeguard training and swim lessons.

Call the Y today at 564-7111 or visit www.prymca.org for more information about the programs or 2019 Sportsman’s Raffle. Scholarships are available.

The PRYMCA is dedicated to promoting healthy spirit, mind and body along with core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility through programs and services for all. At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. We believe at lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together.
