Pine Tree Hospice offering Yoga Nidra session Sept. 14

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Relax? Rejuvenate? That’s right — Yoga Nidra is yoga with no movement! That’s right, Yoga Nidra promotes healing and overall well-being with no movement. The instructor uses visualization and affirmation to create an environment in which healing can occur, and leads a guided session with her voice. Yoga Nidra restores a balanced state of mind and a deeply rested body by relieving tension and stress at their root and it is done lying down.

Yoga instructor and Pine Tree Hospice volunteer Gayle Worden RYT, is offering free Yoga Nidra sessions for both professional and family caregivers in the community and for hospice volunteers as well. The sessions are about 45 minutes in length and are held at the Dover-Foxcroft Congregational Church on West Main Street. The next session is from 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14. Arrive a few minutes early to get set up and ready for this amazing experience. Plan on bringing a pillow and a blanket to lie on and one to cover up with. The more comfortable you are, the more you will benefit.

Please register for the session by contacting the Pine Tree Hospice office at 564-4346 or emailing wecare@pinetreehospice.org. Worden’s website for Center Yoga & Healing Arts can be found at www.centeryoga.vpweb.com.
