Sen. Davis achieves 100 percent voting record

AUGUSTA — The Office of the Secretary of the Maine State Senate has released its records for the first session of the 129th Maine Legislature and Sen. Paul Davis, R-Sangerville has been recognized for having a voting record of 100 percent.

“The people of rural Piscataquis, Penobscot, and Somerset Counties must have a voice in their state government,” Davis said. “By casting a vote on their behalf at every opportunity, I hope that their voice is heard.”

Prior to being elected to the 127th Maine State Legislature, Davis served four terms in the Maine State Senate, serving in leadership during three of those terms, and three terms in the Maine House of Representatives.

He currently serves as a member of the Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Committee the State and Local Government Committee and the Government Oversight Committee. Previously, he served as Chair of the Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry Committee and as a member of the Taxation Committee.
The Second Regular Session will convene in January.
