Pleasant River Lumber donates land for Law Farm access

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District (PCSWCD) is now able to offer additional parking for and access to the Law Farm thanks to a generous land donation from Pleasant River Lumber. The donation includes six acres of land that abuts the Law Farm and on that half dozen acres, there is a cleared parking area, fruit trees, perennials and much more. The PCSWCD plans to fully utilize this land, using it for learning opportunities and easier access to the property.

Pleasant River Lumber and the district have had a strong partnership for a number of years and the PCSWCD is humbled by this gift and opportunity. “We are so grateful for this land donation and appreciate Pleasant River Lumber for committing to the vision we have for the Law Farm. They believe in what we are trying to do with the property and were willing to make this exciting contribution,” says PCSWCD Executive Director Sarah Robinson.

The PCSWCD encourages community members to visit the Law Farm, located on the Lee Cemetery Road in Dover-Foxcroft. Spend some time exploring the land, walk the trails, take in the sights and enjoy some time outdoors.
