GRADE 3-4 BOYS TOP TEAMS -- Pirate Rec of Guilford hosted the 2019 Penquis Rec Basketball League championship games last month. The league includes teams from Greenville, Guilford, Dover-Foxcroft, Milo, Howland, Corinth, Dexter, Corinna, Newport, Hartland, Pittsfield and Etna/Dixmont with over 400 players participating this season. GRADE 3-4 GIRLS TOP TEAMS — The Howland-based girls grade 3-4 Penquis Rec Basketball League team, left, won the championship last month at Piscataquis High School High School in Guilford. Finishing as runner-up were the girls from Dover-Foxcroft. For girls grades 5-6, Howland (below) earned top honors with Newport finishing as runners-up.
