Theatre’s volunteer party set for Oct. 12

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Center Theatre is proud to announce its annual Volunteer Appreciation Party, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 12 at 1 p.m.
“The Center Theatre would not exist without the incredible generosity of its volunteers,” says Executive Director Angela Bonacasa. “And although we can never truly repay them for all their time and effort, we want them to know that we really appreciate all that they do for the theatre. Keeping a place like the Center Theatre thriving is truly a labor of love, and it doesn’t happen without a whole lot of support from a whole lot of people. We’re very lucky to have so many people in the community who love the Center Theatre.”

Anyone who has volunteered at the Center Theatre in the last year, in any capacity, is welcome and encouraged to attend. “Whether you volunteered in the lobby, were part of the Slightly Off-Center Players, helped out with the Whoopie Pie Festival, changed the marquee, swept the floors or were part of any of the many ways you can volunteer, we would love to see you here, “ says Molly Derrig, Center Theatre operations manager and volunteer coordinator. “If you’ve thought about volunteering but aren’t sure what goes into it, please come by and meet all the great people who are involved with the Center Theatre.  There’s room for everyone, and we appreciate everyone’s help.”
The theatre lobby will be open at 12:30 p.m. and the party will begin at 1. For more information about the event, please call 564-8943 or stop by the theatre at 20 East Main Street between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
To purchase tickets or to learn more about upcoming events at Center Theatre, please call the box office at 564-8943 or visit the theatre’s website at www.centertheatre.org. The Center Theatre is a non-profit performing arts center dedicated to making the arts a part of life in the Maine Highlands.
