Sangerville school board member announces decision to not seek re-election

To the Editor;
There will be elections at the Sangerville town meeting on Feb. 21 for the school board positions. Even though some people think that school board positions are the terminus for former select board members, I will say I have enjoyed my three years on the school board. I have worked with some very dedicated people there: board members, staff, and administrators. We are fortunate to have these participants who do such a good job for the children in SAD 4.

But in view of my three years there and a different direction in my life, I will not seek re-election to the board.

I would say someone with children in SAD 4 would be better suited as a board member.

I also hope that someone steps up and fills my vacancy. You will experience the same satisfaction I did in being a part of a great school system and working with people who really care and work hard for the education of the children. See you at town meeting.
