Dec. 18 Hospice Lunch ‘n Learn to cover ‘self-care for the bereaved’

DOVER-FOXCROFT — In your grief, do you feel that you haven’t been able to take time for you, for a walk, a ride, or to get a haircut? “Self-Care for the Bereaved,” presented by Sherry Corbin, R.N., M.S., is the topic of Pine Tree Hospice’s Lunch ‘n Learn Program from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at the Dover-Foxcroft Congregational Church.

Many caregivers and family members have forgotten, or put off, taking care of themselves while taking care of a loved one. And if you have lost someone, recently or in the past, it is important to know that taking care of yourself is just as important as taking care of those you love. Corbin will discuss ways in which you can do things for yourself for relaxation and stress release.

This event is part of Pine Tree Hospice’s adult bereavement support and is free of charge. The program is open to adults in the community who have experienced grief and loss whether recently or in the past. A free nutritious lunch is included.

To pre-register for Lunch ‘n Learn, please call Pine Tree Hospice at 564-4346 or email wecare@pinetreehospice.org.
