‘Keep Me Warm Raffle” for fuel oil underway

DEXTER — It’s winter no matter what the calendar indicates. There is plenty of snow for early December with colder weather on the way.

The Dexter Public Health Association nurses want to help people in the Maine Highlands region keep warm by holding the Keep Me Warm Raffle. The first- and second-prize winners will each receive a gift certificate from A.E. Robinson for 100 gallons of No. 2 fuel oil. The third-place prize winner will receive a $25 gift certificate from Dexter’s Ace Hardware.

Tickets are available at the Dexter Town Office, the Abbott Memorial Library, the Snowflakes store on Main Street in Dexter, members of the Dexter Public Health Association Board of Directors, and the nurses.

Buying a ticket or several is a great opportunity to help the Dexter Public Health nurses provide free services to anyone living in Dexter, Ripley, and Garland as well as possibly winning fuel to make life cozy this winter. Entrees can live in any of the many towns in the A.E. Robinson delivery area to receive one of the two big prizes. The $25 Ace Hardware gift certificate can be used by the area winner at the Dexter Ace Hardware.

The drawing will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9 in the Dexter Town Council Chambers on Main Street. You do not have to be present to win.

The Dexter Public Health Association is grateful to A.E. Robinson and Dexter Ace Hardware for donating generous prizes to help others through the long, Maine winter.
