Guilford store among first Maine Rite Aid locations to convert to Walgreens

GUILFORD — Approximately 1,300 Walgreens-owned Rite Aid stores will convert to the Walgreens brand over the next 12 months.This will bring Walgreens products and trusted pharmacy services to more customers and communities across the country.

As part of an estimated $500 million investment nationwide, Walgreens recently converted the former Rite Aid stores in Guilford, Machias, and Calais. These stores are the first in Maine to change over to a Walgreens this year. These new Walgreens locations offer local customers a wide range of new products and services.

Conversion will roll out in phases over time and across the network of Walgreens-owned Rite Aid stores. In addition to the new products and services, customers and patients will notice physical upgrades and enhancements to the locations. The stores already have a Walgreens pharmacy, and customers and patients can continue to work with the pharmacy team they know and trust.
