FIRST MOOSE -- Jessica Morton, 13 of Brownville Junction, harvested her first moose on Oct. 12. She was hunting with her father, Mike Morton, in the Katahdin Iron Works region. After a long week of not seeing any moose, they finally spotted one on the morning of Oct. 12. The moose weighed 828.5 pounds, with a 50-inch spread.
