PCHS Homecoming will be Sept. 28-29

GUILFORD — Homecoming weekend for Piscataquis Community High School will be Sept. 28-29. This year the PCHS Homecoming will be special for two big reasons. The first is 50 years of soccer will be commemorated with the first ever night soccer match at 7 p.m. vs. Greenville on Saturday, Sept. 29. The second reason is that the inaugural class of the PCHS Athletic Hall of Fame will be inducted at the Hall of Fame ceremony. Culminating the weekend will be a fireworks show put on by Central Maine Pyrotechnics.

The full schedule is Friday, Sept. 28 5 p.m. Homecoming parade (the route is from the school through town on Main Street); 6 p.m. community pep rally in the gym; 7 p.m. community bonfire on the softball field; and then at 8 p.m. will be a dance for the students.

On Saturday, Sept. 29 the field hockey team hosts Mattanawcook at 1 p.m. and the girls soccer team plays Greenville at 4 p.m. The PCHS PCHS Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be at 5:30 p.m. and the boys soccer team faces Greenville under the lights at 7 p.m. The fireworks display is scheduled for 9 p.m.
