Dave’s World unveils kitchen, bath and flooring showroom

DOVER-FOXCROFT — A brand new 1,700-square foot showroom for the kitchen, bath and flooring offerings at Dave’s World was formally revealed to the public during a grand opening celebration with the Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce on the evening of June 14.

“We are just so excited with what is happening once again with Dave’s World,” Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Denise Buzzelli said. “It seems like right when things are steady someone says ‘let’s try this.’

“I love that they try to implement things that people need,” she said, saying previously many residents of the region would head to Bangor for kitchen, bath and flooring projects

Buzzelli said in her five years in the executive director position, “From a Chamber perspective there are businesses that just give this county a fabulous reputation.” She said Dave’s World is great example.

“They have been selling these products for several years, many years, and customers would walk right past and never know and now they know,” Buzzelli said.

“I’m excited for what it means for you as an organization and I’m excited what it means for the county with people not having to leave their home,” she said.

Buzzelli then introduced her husband Gregg, Dave’s World kitchen, bath and flooring manager, who has 25 years experience in the industry and came to Dave’s World after having worked in the Bangor area.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart, this means more to me and Dave’s World than I could express,” Gregg Buzzelli said. He said about a year prior discussions began about moving departments around and better utilizing the building.

“We are going to have more mattress and flooring space,” Buzzelli said about new revised layout.

“I can’t even tell you the meetings, the decisions, the notes,” he said. Buzzelli said working in Bangor, he noticed about half of his clients were from Piscataquis County and he knew there was a need for kitchen, bath and flooring in the region.

“It represents something that made me want to be part of Piscataquis County,” Buzzelli said.

“Now to have displays so people can see it and touch it, and people buy what they see,” he said. “It really is a dream come true for me, it really is the beginning.”

Dave’s World Vice President, Heat Pump Manager and Partner Matt Scott said, “Values, vision and mission, that’s what’s this company is all about and it can’t happen without the right people.” He said Buzzelli and Sales Manager Matt Spooner “created this and they made it happen.”

“People don’t have to drive to Bangor to get a good deal,” Scott said, saying Dave’s World will be able to take the sale and service revenue and invest this money locally.

“Help us get people here,” Scott asked those listening to his remarks. “We need you, we need you to echo this.”

Spooner said he came to Dave’s World a half dozen years prior. “It’s a major difference,” he said about the new showroom for kitchen, bath and flooring.
