Golf for the Jimmy Fund

GUILFORD — For the sixth year in a row, a Jimmy Fund golf event will take place at the Piscataquis Golf Course to raise money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute — over $30,000 has been raised for cancer research.

This year’s event will be Aug. 10 with a morning and noon tee times. The format is four golfer teams and best ball scramble. Carts are not included and can be confirmed with the course. Players can sign up as a single or as a team. No handicaps used at this event.
This is a fun day to raise funds for cancer research. The day includes hot dogs and hamburgers while the golfers are on the course and a steak dinner and live auction following the second field of golfers. The auction includes some very nice signed items from the Red Sox, Bruins, Patriots, a Lake Ontario fishing trip and other great items. All of the funds raised go directly to the Jimmy Fund. Non golfers are invited to join this year by purchasing a dinner/auction ticket, which allows them to enjoy the fun that evening. Please contact Tim Richardson at 343-1970 for more information.
