Genealogy workshop May 19 at Mayo

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Wassebec Genealogical Society is sponsoring a free workshop on Saturday, May 19 in the Sebec/Borestone Rooms at Mayo Regional Hospital.

The speaker from 9 a.m. to noon will be Judy Reitze, the former director of the Family History Center in Bangor who will speak on using FamilySearch.org. From 1-4 p.m. Nina Brawn, former Piscataquis Observer columnist, will speak on using Ancestry.com. Snacks and lunch are included at no cost to attendees.

The Wassebec Genealogical Society also meets at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 6 in the Sebec Room at Mayo Regional Hospital. The guest speaker will be Dr. Carol McCoy, president of the Maine Genealogical Society. Refreshments will be served and all are invited to attend.
