SeDoMoCha Middle School Science Fair winners

TOP SCIENCE FAIR HONORS — Jacob Reed earned top honors at the annual SeDoMoCha Middle School Science Fair on April 5. Reed came in first for examining habitat influence on the behavior of the common shiner. Grade 7-8 students at the school in Dover-Foxcroft prepare their projects for an evening public exhibit.

ELECTROLYTE LIQUIDS — Ben Johnston received second-place honors for examining the relationship between viscosity and resistance of electrolyte liquids at the 2018 SeDoMoCha Middle School Science Fair.

HONORED PROJECTS — Jasper Makowski, along with Bekah Demers, placed third at the SeDoMoCha Middle School Science Fair on April 5 for a local study determining the universality of microexpressions. Honorable mention recognition went to Alexis Cole and Alicia Webster for exploring a relationship between biological sex and pain tolerance.

PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD — The SeDoMoCha Middle School Science Fair People’s Choice honor was presented to Gideon Topolski and Jesse Drury for their work with baseball pitch style effectiveness.
