Spring Fling Beach Party April 7 at the Center Theatre

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Center Theatre for the Performing Arts is hosting a Spring Fling Beach Party at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 7. Performing at the the event will be local favorites The Doughty Hill Band playing fun summer songs.

Patrick Myers, the executive director of the Center Theatre, said he’s personally looking forward to some summer vibes, “Doughty Hill has promised to play nothing but fun, upbeat summer songs. We’ll have beach balls, limbo contests, south-of-the-border snacks, and lots of fun.”

Myers said the Center Theatre hopes to make this an annual spring fundraiser to compliment the Pumpkin Jam Fall Fundraiser in October. “Late winter and early spring is generally a slower time at the Theatre, so having a fundraiser can be a big boost,” he said. “We’re hoping to see lots of people interested in shaking off cabin fever and enjoying a great summer night.”

Tickets are per person or per couple and are available at www.CenterTheatre.org, by calling the theatre at 564-8943, or by stopping by in person between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays. The Center Theatre is a non-profit organization dedicated to making the arts a part of life in the Maine Highlands by offering affordable arts, culture, entertainment, and education.
