Foxcroft Youth and SeDoMoCha teams grapple at Hichborn Youth Wrestling Tournament

HOWLAND — The Foxcroft Youth Wrestling and SeDoMoCha Middle School wrestling teams continued the great season as both teams traveled to Howland to compete at the Hichborn Youth Wrestling Tournament. All local teams from Guilford and Dexter also competed at this event in addition to programs from Bangor, Fort Kent and Caribou.

Foxcroft Youth wrestlers earning tournament champion honors were Carter Nichols, Karter Rideout, Wyett Parker, Alex Hanson, Shane Bowden, Kell Cooley, Preston Harmon, Kaleb Worthing, Owen Weymouth, Garrett Rogers, Hayden Hanson, Sadie Farmer, Nathan Durgin and Winston Harmon

Coming in second in their respective weight classes were Mathias Laurent, Michael Kinney, Autumn Rideout, Eugene Gould, Kain Niland, Colby Simmons, Aidan Bryant, Kael Niland and Cody Bagley.

Third-place wrestlers were Hunter Rogers, Jordan Brooks, Cooper Jay, Keyana Racila, Keegan Dragon, Grayden Nuite, Keegan Crowell, Kaleb Weymouth and Jacobi Poire.

Placing fourth were Deaclan Dragon, Gabe Chambers, Jack Goldsmith, Charlie Johnston and Colby Gilbert.

Cole McCorrison of SeDoMoCha grabbed a second-place finish.

SeDoMoCha’s third-place grapplers were Karson Tibbetts, Craig Farmer and Brayden Rogers

Phillip Bagley and Garret Chase both came in fourth in their weight classes.

Coming in fifth were Wiston Harmon, Kail Niland and Noah Cavanagh

Congratulations also go to Robert Weymouth of Charleston as he won his weight class as the Maine State Youth Wrestling Championships held at Noble High School in Berwick this past weekend. Weymouth, a four-grader at SeDoMoCha Elementary, competed against wrestlers from all over the state to become a youth champion.
